I love using toned paper. Toned paper is great for practicing your values because both highlights and shadows show up on this midtoned paper. Toned paper is awesome when you want to do quick sketches that still have depth and dimension. The fact that you already have the midtone value makes it a lot faster to complete the drawing because you don't have to shade in every single part of the paper. I love using Strathmore toned paper.
