Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Ben Cohen accused the US of being complicit in Israel’s 76-day blockade of the Gaza Strip, saying Israel was “starving little kids to death”. Cohen was speaking shortly after he had been arrested for protesting US policy toward Gaza at a Senate hearing in Congress on Wednesday. Ben & Jerry’s has long been outspoken on social issues, choosing in 2021 to end sales of its products in the occupied Palestinian territories and criticising Israel’s policies toward Palestinians.
